Beverly Ayling-Smith
An embroiderer using mixed media whose current work parallels the slow seepage of grief with the traces and stains left on cloth. The work seeks to re-evaluate the term 'melancholia' as one which encourages creativity, drawing on contemporary rituals of mourning.
