Artist's Statement
There is a moment in my creative process when I feel delighted. It's not necessarily because I'm doing a good job. Rather, I feel this way when my instinct proves to be right. At this time, it seems like someone else is doing the work. Yet, the work reflects my true feelings.
I use cloth, wax and dye in my creations. Each material has its own characteristic. The fiber of cloth provides structure. Wax doesn't melt in water but yields to heat. Dye melts in water and adds color.
I use these elements in my work and I always try to predict the results. I also anticipate the process before starting. The work shows whether I was right or not. If my instinct proves to be right, then I feel delighted.
